Rebound

A rebound occurs when a player retrieves the ball after a missed field goal or free throw attempt.

There are two types of rebounds:

  1. Offensive Rebound: When a player on the offensive team retrieves the ball after a missed shot by their own team.
  2. Defensive Rebound: When a player on the defensive team retrieves the ball after a missed shot by the opposing team.

Rebounding provides teams with additional opportunities to score.
