Alley-oop

An alley-oop is an offensive play where one player throws the ball near the basket to a teammate who catches it in mid-air and immediately scores, usually with a dunk or a layup.

Passer: The player who throws the ball towards the basket. The pass is typically high and arcing, allowing the receiver to jump and catch it.

Receiver: The player who catches the ball in mid-air and scores. This player is often a strong jumper and has good hand-eye coordination.
